One dollar!?

Today I went shopping with my mom. She called this morning and we decided on going to Michaels craft store. I wasn't planning on buying anything-but once I stepped inside I couldn't pass this deal up! I laughed when I got home and looked at my "spoils" (as my sister likes to call them). Here is was I got....and each one was only $1! That's how I like to shop! Nothing big was purchased-but I know I will use each one of these items...heck, I've already used two out of the three!

I have been wanting some of these thick head bands! I'm wearing one as I speak..I mean type :) and I love it! Maybe they'll help me with my Zumba moves! It always seems like the instructors wear these sorts of things.

Only one week...

There's only one week left until Jon and I will have been married for 1 year! Crazy....it doesn't seem that long, and yet it feels longer sometimes...(ya I don't make sense all the time...deal with it) (: I have enjoyed every single second with him. I love our little life together, and our families help to nourish our relationship more than I think they know. I have always heard that "the first year is the hardest". I don't know how much I agree with that after going through this first year. We have had our little tiffs here and there, but for the most part we have enjoyed getting to know each other in our husband/wife roles :) I feel so blessed to have found the man of my dreams! He is so sweet to me and I couldn't imagine myself with anyone else. God sure did know what he was doing with us ;)

"I do"

Last weekend my dear friend Alisa said "I do". She is no longer Dr. Vogel, but has become Dr. Huff :) I am so very happy for her, and wish her only the best. There were definitely tears at this wedding-all were tears of happiness! She was a beautiful bride. Everything, from the decorations to her red shoes, was "so Alisa".

Tonight I decided I wanted something sweet to eat! (....surprise surprise) Instead of the regular ice cream run or cookie baking marathon I decided to make something new! I went online and found a recipe for Amish Caramel Corn. The name caught my eye, and wallah! My new caramel corn recipe. It's actually pretty easy to make too! I found it on my favorite recipe website AllRecipes.com. Go there if you are looking to make something yummy! Whether it be savory or sweet, they will have something for you to try. I will admit that I did have a problem in the beginning.....and that was how to spell caramel. :) hehe. Well, I won't forget now! Especially with this yummy recipe!

The last couple of months have been crazy, but I hope this recap tells you how much fun it all is! I am learning to love every moment and memory God gives me. He has really been putting on my heart to give everything up to him-in good times and in bad. This is hard for me to do, especially since once summer comes I am jobless-and haven't found even one lead for a job. I worry all the time.... :( But when I look back over the past 23 years of my life I see all the amazing things God has done for me. I will try to not be anxious or worry. That's a start, right?

BABY!

My cousin Courtney had her baby yesterday around 6:30 pm. So exciting! We all couldn't wait to see and meet him! Today I went and visited them. He is sooo precious!! And so very loved by his mommy, daddy, grandma, auntie...and all us extended family! :) He is such a handsome baby. Here is a little sneak peak!

Lorrenzo Allen Wade III

I can't wait to watch him grow. From watching my niece Delaney I know that they change so very much in their first year! Laney looks VERY different now than she did even 3 months ago. I also can't wait to see Delaney play with her cousin Lorrenzo ("baby Zo"). She will be a bossy pants with him!

First things first....a picture of Valentine Laney Bug!

Yesterday, I got to hang out with my sissy and laney. It was so much fun! Jill and I made Valentine cookies while laney bounced in her jumpy and hung out with Grandma. Then Jill, Laney and I went out to lunch. Laney has gotten very nosy-and was wanting to know what everyone around her was doing. She is showing her little personality these days....I see a little miss bossy pants :) It was a fun day!

Today I woke up to Jonny bringing me these!

Then for breakfast I was expecting cereal right before church...but I got this instead!!


And if that wasn't enough....Jonny (and Buck) made me (and Jamie) dinner! The Menu: Salt & Herb encrusted New York Steak, Grilled Shrimp, Roasted Red Potatoes, Rice Pilaf, Pear & Walnut Salad, AND for dessert...Chocolate Fondue with Raspberries, Strawberries and Angel Food Cake :) YUMMM!
