27 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 27 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: About 18 lbs. At my doctor visit this week she told me "Wow, you must've found something you really like to eat....." (thank you for telling me in a round about way that I am gaining a lot of weight dr) :)

Maternity Clothes: Everyday. And some not so maternity tops bought in a little bigger size so I don't look like I'm swimming in my clothes.

Sleep: Sleeping pretty good lately...as long as I don't take a 3 hour nap right before bed..{oops!}

Best Moment this week: Hearing baby's heartbeat. AND hearing my niece Delaney say "Hi" to "bebe"

Gender: GIRL!

Movement: Lots and lots...especially when I cuddle up against Jon-she loves to kick his back.

Food Cravings: Cereal...(7 boxes in the cupboard). And Coldstone ice cream...yum.

Food Aversions: Nope. I'll eat anything I'm given right now :)

How's Mama? Feeling good...a little more tired lately. And a little more achy everywhere...especially my ribs. She likes to move up into my ribcage lately..

What I am looking forward to: Meeting out little girl and being able to kiss her precious face. I had a dream about doing that the other night and it made me so excited.

Our Baby in Veggie/Fruit Terms: Baby Foley is an eggplant!

Baby's lungs are going through some major developments these days, which (combined with the opening of previously plugged nostrils) means she's now able to practice inhaling and exhaling.

I love these girls...

Last weekend Jon and I got to see some of our favorite people...the Sarr Family :) It rained all weekend, but that turned out to be wonderful. We did a lot of relaxing and catching up which ended up being perfect. Oh...and a lot of deep frying. (Jon got a new deep fryer and went a little fry crazy...from deep fried onion rings to deep fried Snickers and everything in between that he and Matt could round up.) I had much more fun taking these pictures during bath time :)

Thank you Matt, Jenna and Paige :)

A quick THANK YOU! to all of you who gave me some advice
on your "favorites" for baby! VERY HELPFUL!

Baby Crafting

I've been wanting to be more crafty these days, so with our little girl on the way my mind has been wandering. I want to use different patterns in the nursery with accent colors pulled out of those patterns. I saw this mobile at the blog Sew She Sews and fell in love! I don't really like the colors or the fabrics-but I just bought a huge book (2,000+ pages) of patterned paper from JoAnns. It was on sale for $10...and I couldn't pass that up! So I bought it, and once I saw this dot mobile I knew exactly what I would use the paper for. I plan on picking out a couple of the patterned papers and cutting them into circles and beginning this project! This person used material for the mobile-but I'm going the cheaper route and using my pretty stylish paper :) I'm excited to begin this project-and I will keep you all posted on my progress.

Nursery Photos

I have been thinking about putting some of my own photography in the nursery. I went out on a hunt the other day for some things that I would want to see framed in my little one's room. The only thing I ended up photographing were the blossoms on the trees by my parent's house. They are so beautiful right now! I took some pictures of the pink blossoms and of the white blossoms. I want pink to be an accent color in the baby room (and not go too crazy with that color)-so I thought pink as an accent here and there would be nice. Here are a couple that I took. I'm not sure if I am going to use these ones. I'm still keeping my eyes open for other things to take pictures of-but for now I really liked how these turned out. They are simple-but very feminine. Perfect for a little girls room :) I'm thinking that I want to do three big framed pictures above either her crib or the changing table. And to begin-I will have something similar to this in the frames-but once my little one is here I know I will soon be swapping out these pictures with her cute little face and toes :)

Calling all Mommys!

It is time for us to register for our little bundle of joy. However, every time I begin making a list or begin thinking about going into the store and registering I start to freak out and get a little overwhelmed! So I hoped that I could get some input from you Moms out there or Moms to be! :)

I want to know what is one thing (or two....or three) that you absolutely LOVE and/or wouldn't want to be without for your baby. I would really like to hear some of your input on this. It may help me get my booty in gear and feel confident about getting what my baby needs and what I need to be prepared for this mommy business ;)

Thank you!

Pregnanc
y Highlights

How Far Along: 22 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Last Dr visit was about 10 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Everyday :) I can still squeeze into some of my stretchy jeans...but it's a tight fit.

Sleep: Sleeping pretty good lately. I love waking up to baby kicks in the morning :)

Best Moment this week: It was actually last week...seeing our baby GIRL on the ultrasound. Amazing :)

Gender: GIRL!

Movement: Yup! Lots of it! Usually when I lay down to rest or relax.

Food Cravings: Still cereal and fresh fruit!

Food Aversions: Not at the moment.

How's Mama? Doing good. My preggy pilates is helping my lower back...and helping me feel a little better about the extra doughnut I ate...and ice cream....and 2nd (or 3rd) bowl of cereal.

What I am looking forward to: Registering!....but I'm a little lost on where to begin.

Our Baby in Veggie/Fruit Terms: Baby Foley is a papaya!
Baby's settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop
