Beach Day

Today was a perfect beach day. We met Jenna and her "pack" there and joined forces to round up the kiddos. Charleigh actually did well this time. Only a taste or two of sand (compared to mouthfulls).

Icky.

Aren't they supposed to be way passed that stage by now?! Come on Char Char! Let's hope baby sister doesn't inherit the same "put everything and anything in your mouth" thing. We shall see :)

The beach was beautiful and we enjoyed every minute (except when Charleigh made her great escape and ran ALL the way to the water before this preggo mommy could catch up!)

20 weeks...halfway point!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 20 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10 lbs...give or take a couple ;) Only gained 1/2 a pound at my last Dr apt, but I'm sure I've gained more by now!

Maternity Clothes: Not many-just staying in stretchy stuff right now :)

Sleep: Sleeping pretty good! Can't complain here.

Best Moment this week: Feeling baby wiggle around

Gender: GIRL!!!!

Movement: Rolls, kicks, spins. :) I love em all!

Food Cravings: Fruit, cereal, brownies....the usual ;).

Food Aversions: Not as much as before.  Still a little apprehensive about the red meat thing. 

How's Mama? Doing good!  Trying not to be a worry wart...and praying constantly for God to give me peace about everything!  Physically I am feeling good...a little on the large side...but good :) 

What I am looking forward to: EVERYTHING!  Especially watching Char become a big sissy!  We have our 20 wk ultrasound next week-so I'm excited to see our little one again.

How is Char doing:  Charleigh is doing good.  She is just as wild as ever.  This is my last week of being a nanny-so I am looking forward to spending some good quality time with her.  I fall more and more in love with Charleigh as each minute passes.  It is ridiculous how much I love my sweet baby girl-I can't even fathom holding TWO! :)

Camping with a 20 month old

We recently booked a trip to Yosemite with some friends of ours.  Charleigh will be 2 years old, and mama will be about 35 weeks pregnant (Crazy?...just a little) Ha.  This could be fun...

Actually, the other two couples who will be joining us...they are also pregnant! (the poor husbands)

Anywho-we are wanting to do a camping trip or two before July.  Call it a test run if you will.  I was wondering if any of you out there have any camping advice with little ones? Or any products that you HAD to have!?

I will post a follow up after our first camp-out, posting my own must haves....and talking about the experience.  Crossing my fingers that little miss Char sleeps!! :)

16 week update

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 16 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 9 lbs! Eeek! (I had only gained about 4 with Char by now...)

Maternity Clothes: None yet...did bust out the belly band last week though!

Sleep: Sleeping better.  Some nights better than others (especially if I have too much water close to bed time)

Best Moment this week: Feeling little baby flutters when I lay down!

Gender: GIRL!!!!

Movement: Little tiny, itty bitty pokes/rolls.  I almost have to hold my breath to feel it, but it's definitely baby.  And I LOVE it.  Excited to feel more!

Food Cravings: Not really-mostly fruits if I had to say I was craving anything.

Food Aversions: Same as earlier...red meat and mexican food (my husband's two favorite foods! Sorry love!)

How's Mama? Doing good!  Trying not to be a worry wart...and praying constantly for God to give me peace about everything!  Physically I am feeling good...a little on the large side...but good :)  I started my pregnant pilates dvd last week (and by started I mean I have only done it once in the past week and a half..oopsie) Hopefully I can start a more regular routine.  This daylight savings time is kicking my booty at the moment!

How is Char doing:  Char is still doing great and being a crazy 20 month old as usual! :) I love every minute I get to spend with her (yes, even while she is flailing on the ground throwing a tantrum).  I am really trying to soak in all the time I have with her as the only child (before #2 comes).  Excited for her to be able to feel baby #2 move.

FRIENDS

This past weekend my dear friend Emily came to visit.  She lives up in Redding, Ca with her hubby (also Jon) and her beautiful baby Juliet.  This was the first time we got to meet little Juliet!  It was a fun filled weekend, and we were so thankful that they made the long treak to come visit us. Eventhough we live hundreds of miles apart, we can pick up right where we left off as soon as we get together.  I cherish her friendship and enjoy every second I get to spend with her beautiful face :)

And as a bonus, this beauiful lady graced us with her presence that weekend as well! 



I was so full of love and joy this weekend.  Two of my close friends, a baby, a Charleigh and two Jon's.  What could be better? ;) We enjoyed the weekend with good food, beach time, lots of laughing and much needed catching up. 

We are hoping to do a Yosemite camping trip this summer with them.  ::fingers crossed:: we get a campsite!  So much going on this summer!  Sister having her baby, camping, then baby #2 arrives in the Foley household! Phew...EXCITING! :)

12 weeks with #2

With Char I kept updates on my pregnancy, and hope to do the same this time around.  I love going back and seeing all the things that were going on.  It will also be fun to see the comparison.

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 12 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: About 4-5 pounds...feels like more this time around!

Maternity Clothes: None yet...but I am in my "fat jeans"...and sweats.

Sleep: I wake up a lot now that I am pregnant again.  And I am having crazy dreams every night.

Best Moment this week: Telling everyone the big news!

Gender: Don't know yet, still too early.  But I say boy.

Movement: Not yet, but I CANNOT WAIT til I feel little pokes. That was my favorite part last time..almost reassuring.

Food Cravings: Cereal, fresh fruit, Jack N the Box tacos (same as with Char). New food cravings: pizza!

Food Aversions: Depends on the day-and the smell.  But red meat is sounding worse and worse these days (same as with Char). Mexican food (just typing it makes me want to gag)  Earlier I didn't really want anything sweet...but that has changed :)

How's Mama? I'm doing good.  I get little emotional, crazy spurts here and there.  And I feel exhausted! (although the last couple days I have been feeling a little more energetic).  I have felt a lot more nauseous this time around.  With Char I would get sick at a certain time each day, but once I ate I was fine.  This time around it seems to last all day, and when I eat it gets worse! Ick.  Thankfully it's not EVERY day that I feel like this, but it is most.  I have noticed it starting to get a lot better this week. WOO HOO!

What I am looking forward to: EVERYTHING!  Especially watching Char become a big sissy!


How is Char doing:  I added this one to keep myself updated with how Charleigh is handling everything.  She is still too little to know what is happening.  And my tummy is still too small for her to notice.  But I did tell her that there is a baby in mommy's tummy and she gave me a funny look :)  I can't wait til she can feel baby move.

Why so quiet around here lately????

CHARLEIGH IS GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!

I have been knocked off my feet for the last couple weeks!  I don't remember being this tired while pregnant with Charleigh....but then again I didn't have an 18 month old to chase around! Ha!  

We found out right before Christmas that I was pregnant.  It was semi-planned.  And by semi- I mean that we were trying, but not really, but it happened, and we wanted the kiddos to be about 2 years apart...sooo ya  (That made sense, right?)  

We sent out Valentine cards to some of our family for the big announcement....plus we never sent out Christmas cards so this was a kind-of replacement for those :)
